A history of stolen guns in unproven in the instance of any other missing paperwork. Malvo however stated he stole the Bushmaster, which of course is an ILLEGAL act and the mere felony theft laws on the book DID NOT PREVENT THE THEFT, just as GUN LAWS DO NOT PREVENT CRIMINALS IN THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIONS. ATF was fully aware of the poor record keeping at the store AND FAILED TO SHUT THEM DOWN. I'm part of the coverup of what, Criminals don't obey laws and won't follow naively crafted gun control legislation and you can't trust ATF and the police to enforce laws on the books let along some more naive gun control legislation that also won't be enfored? The answer is ENFORCEMENT not more unenforced legislation.
