We will have to disagree on this. I say it is an affirmation that this nation was founded with God's Blessings.

I am glad to see you can discuss this to some degree, Sunny. I was a little worried when you showed up that you might go "Evangelical" on us, but so far, so good.

Just remember that there is another version of the start of this country. The Founders were basically all Deists, they believed God had created the world and left it to it's own devices. Tom Paine, who wrote "Common Sense," the document that gave an intellectual underpinning to the Revolution, was, at best, a Deist. When he published "The Rights of Man," he was denounced in every Pulpit in the Country.

But, I don't really want to take this subject any further here. The discussion leads nowhere, and it gets to emotional.
