OT -- i'm pretty sure Baez is arbitration eligible, and he made over $5mm last year. so its expected that Cleveland will non-tender him. i am hoping that he is below the radar of most teams, and at the end of the day there are really only a handful of teams (us included) who can afford $3mm-ish for a set-up guy. he's 26, has a good K-rate, and didn't abuse his arm this year (1267 pitches in 76 innings). he isn't quite Kyle Farnsworth or Otavio Dotel, but properly used i think he'd be a heck of a reliever, and an Embree / Baez / Timlin / Willie pen would rival what Minny and Houston had this year in terms of stuff and likely effectiveness. And lets not forget that Mendoza might find himself over the winter too. Our other options are to go for Escobar, who is too expensive for my blood, or possibly Miguel Bautista.

Cheers
