SEC wants Ken Lay to stop charade By Matt Andrejczak
WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- The Securities and Exchange Commission is calling Ken
Lay's refusal to turn over subpoenaed documents an outrage. "This court should not
permit Lay to continue this charade," the SEC said in court papers. The SEC wants
Enron's former chairman and chief executive to hand over copies of Enron (ENRNQ:
news, chart, profile) memorandum, letters, position papers, draft speeches, and
documents bearing his handwriting and annotations. Lay is guarding the documents on
grounds the release would violate his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
The SEC said Lay has released the same papers to Enron's court-appointed
bankruptcy examiner. The SEC is investigating whether Lay had knowledge of Enron's
fraudulent activities.

what's the big deal...he's acting like his leader.....George W and Cheney in how they cooperate with ANYone that is going after actual documents
