You have never accounted for the fact that Osama Bin Laden stated in '98 that he would work to get us, and to hell with collateral damage. You have not shown that failing to act in Iraq would lessen his resolve and support. Osama openly waits for Americans to be weak, and works to assure Muslims that we will be, in order to GET willing followers. The man believes it is right to kill anyone who doesn't adhere to his religion. You believe that not crossing him in Iraq would mollify Muslims who believe as he does and lessen the ranks of his supporters and the number of attacks against us. I do believe you are very end-game wrong. Nothing short of the conversion of America to his version of Isalm or the thorough and forthright forceful removal of those who act as he wills, will deter attack. Dan B.
