VIRTEK ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGE

Anthony, I found this news item about Virtek. Looks like the move to a more business-oriented, rather than engineering-oriented, management is continuing. Seems like positive news to me - would you agree?

WATERLOO, Ont., Aug. 5 /CNW/ - CDN - VRTK Virtek Vision International Inc. today announced the appointment of Charles E. Greb, President of Grebco Holdings Ltd. to the position of Chairman of the Board. Professor Andrew Wong who previously held the title, has decided to resign the position as his sabbatical begins in September. Dr. Wong will however remain an integral part of Virtek in the capacity of Director.

Charles Greb who became a Director of Virtek in August of 1996 has been the President of Grebco Holdings Ltd since 1978. Grebco Holdings, owned and controlled by Mr. Greb, is a private investment company which also provides consulting services to small businesses. Currently, Mr. Greb is also a Director of Skyjack Inc., a Director of Alis Technologies Inc. and a general partner to the Woodside Fund (a California based venture capital fund).

The Board would like to thank Andrew Wong for his past services as Chairman and look forward to his continuing support in his role as Director. Dr. Wong co-founded Virtek in 1986 from technology developed under his direction at the University of Waterloo's PAMI lab. The company maintains a strong relationship with the lab and continues to support its technology initiatives.
