Oh come on.You quoting Ray now? <<The US tried this in Iran. It didn't work.>> No.no no we just went into Iran and tried to get our way cauz we wanted to beat the Soviets. We made no attempt to democratize the country just supported a ruthless dictatorship just like we tried in Viet Nam. Now that the cold war is over we don't have that paranoid aspect to out agenda. In spite of ourselves the youth of Iran have had a taste of western culture and they like it.This is what makes me some what optimistic. This gamble may or may not work but it's worth a try.
