Your love and faith in God is never robotic but must always be voluntary. Love always demands that you have the option of rejection. When God creatd all the beings, he allowed that all have the free choice of loving him or rejecting him. This is the quality of love that God desires from man, angels, Seraphims and Satan. If it were a love of "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" (or once you love you must always love, then it would be robotic and not free will love. The nature of love demands that all have the option of rejection. Satan, seraphims, angels, and men have all proven that created being can both accept and reject the love of God. The love for self is generally the starting point for the rejection of the love for God. Talmudic Jduaism is a prime example of the love for self destroying the love for God.
