In order to be in Iraq and impose a government we MUST crush the will of many of the people -- those who oppose our right to invade Iraq and play power broker over their resources and their future government, while using Iraqi soil as a staging ground for our troops to threaten Iraq's neighbors. The issue is how many people oppose our goals, and I think, to put it mildly, that opposition to our continued control is large and growing. Indeed, it is not clear that we control much of anything at this point.
