Mark, maybe I didn't make myself clear. I didn't intend to say all these apps will become standard equipment by the end of 98, just that the computers will have this capability.

Voice recognition in rudimentary form is already built into some of the Aptiva personal computers. Granted it's pretty crude.

Video phones are being used over the Internet today by thousands of people, maybe even millions today. You can't go into a computer store and not see video camera's for sale which work over the Net. Prices range from 49.00 to as high as 300.00. Maybe they don't work with the clarity and fast movement of a television. But they work, and it's video via the net.

I would consider "Fuzzy logic" as being intuitive.
Help systems get revamped nearly every time an upgrade is made to current software.

I agree Microsoft will probably include voice recognition into their OS. The first time (I predict) they will give it away via the net, probably similar to Netmeeting. Then include it as part of the OS in the year 2000.

A noise cancellation microphone will be sold in stores similar to how a mouse is sold today.

The pace of technological progress is increasing.
We'll just have to wait and see about this relatively new development.

By the way, Andreas Electronics (AND) went up over 36% on Friday.

Michael
