Jay, Essentially, profits won by market timers skim money at least indirectly from others who own shares in the funds. To emphasize that point, managers were skimming that money from their own fund's shareholders. Unbelievable. Actually, very believable considering the amount of money involved and how it can corrupt people. --Mike Buckley
