Barry ...here is some more meat to go with your potatoes. Make a hard copy and study when you have more time. I have been in John lately and the Lord is really opening my eyes.
We do get ahead of Jesus. God always gives us an invitation to join him in his work. When we see him, he is giving us an invitation to join him. Many times we do not see, and we do not hear. When the Lord is speaking , he shows me things and then tells me about them. We must have a ear to hear. We must have wisdom with knowledge. We can have knowledge of something and yet not have wisdom. We can see and not understand. Mark 4:21-25 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. He that hath is one that has the son and hears the son. He shall then be given more. But he that has not will lose what he has. He can't hear and can't see.
Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. We can see and yet not understand. We must see the Father and then we need his wisdom to understand what he is doing. They work together. And more important that all of the seeing and hearing, is.............. Doing what we see and hear.
Matt 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. John 12:45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. (ONENESS) ."The Son can do nothing of himself but what he seeth the Father do for what things soever he doeth these also doeth the Son likewise." He is saying he and his Father is one. Unity! They are one. Walk the same, talk the same, do the same. We are Chrisitans. Should be like Christ. God was his daddy and he is ours too. I work, like him, in doing good on sabbath days as well as other days, but I also work with him.
The Father's measures in making and ruling the world are shown to the Son, that he may take the same measures in framing and governing the church, which work was to be a duplicate of the work of God. He gives we give. He shows, we see. He speaks, we speak. Our eyes his eyes, our hands his hands, our ears his ears. Our feet his feet. One people with God. Jesus said, John 10:30 I and my Father are one. Jesus is saying what God is doing, I am doing. God is not breaking the Sabboth and I am not either. I look like him and act like him. I dress like him and eat what he eats, his meat. I think like him and see what he sees. The Son can have no separate interest or action from the Father. If we are going to see him, it must be in the Spirit. Because we can not see him in the natural. We must see and hear in the spirit. And that comes from those that are in the spirit, not the flesh. We have too much flesh walking around and no Spirit filled people walking in it.
Gal 5:16-17 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. And it is a daily walk that not many people will take. Not many will be on that road and Not many will travel that way. Not a whole lot of people concerned about what he is concerned about and That is why you have a lot of Christians miserable in Church. Can't see and can't hear. John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. We must not seek our own will! GB Rick |
