FWIW, after spending most of the last 15 years overseas, I could bore everyone to death with the chronicles of screwups, corruption, stupidity and hopeless BS in many countries. I am cynical enough now to believe that much of it is chronic.

When I look at the US, I see a country that should be a world leader and set the standards for others to shoot for. I get very disappointed when we fail at that task. We can do better if we push ourselves to do the right thing. Many countries will never get close.

But I will do my best to widen my firing range for nonmoderate nonsense to bitch about in the future.
