Let me start by saying facts gathered by the FBI in the Uniform Crime Statistics are just that data that has been recorded. They do collect the data by race and calculate percentages. That data in no way reflects on a tremendous number of law abiding minorities in this country. The data does show a disproportionate amount of gun crime to blacks and hispanics and there is no weaseling around it or ignoring it to keep from hurting people's feelings. If you aren't a criminal and you are a minority the above data should not hurt your feelings...you're not a criminal. If you are a law abiding citizen, I don't care what race you are thats great and something like that obviously should not be held against you. The drug gangs are responsible for the vast majority of gun homicides every year and thats where the problem is and thats what CH was trying to point out. He should have said drug gangs rather than ethnic diversity, to be fair to law abiding minorities. Hispanic and black and white gang members are criminals period and calling a hispanic gang member a criminal is not a racist statement.
