Electroglas Names Keith Barnes Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 2003--Electroglas, Inc. (Nasdaq:EGLS - News), a leading supplier of wafer probing and test handling solutions for the semiconductor industry, today announced that Keith Barnes has been named as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Curt Wozniak, who has been Chief Executive Officer since 1996, will remain on the Electroglas Board of Directors and assist in the transition.

Mr. Barnes was previously Chairman and CEO of Integrated Measurement Systems, a NASDAQ listed company (Nasdaq:IMSC - News) from 1995 until 2001, when the company was acquired by Credence Systems. Prior to IMS, Mr. Barnes was Division President at Cadence and Valid Logic Systems before it was acquired by Cadence in 1993. Mr. Barnes is a 1976 graduate from San Jose State University.
