If you are American...

I am.

...I would advise you BUY AMERICAN...

Like I said, if your justification for that position is that taxes must be paid...lest the government come up short in funding the various unconstitutional programs it does...I'd prefer to buy from anyone but U.S. firms.

On the other hand, I am practical, so my general rule is that I buy goods that I prefer, subject to quality and price parameters. In some cases, those are American-made goods. In others, they're Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Czech, Venezuelan, or what have you. At such time as all U.S. goods and services are the best and the cheapest in the world, I'll buy all U.S. goods; alternately, if one day the quality and cost advantage were to be found exclusively with the products of overseas concerns, U.S. manufacturers wouldn't see dollar one of my money.

...I certainly am from now on...

That is your choice, and your right.

...and I'm telling everyone possible to do the same[.]

And I tell people, give those businesses your money who in return give you the best value, regardless of their domicile.

In addition, I'd also tell people that if you value the Constitution, or if the price/quality between a U.S. and foreign made product are close, or if you're just undecided...you should certainly consider buying foreign. Don't support - as you mentioned, via tax monies - the gigantic labor unions or the lumbering, bureaucratic juggernaut that delivers affirmative action in one hand and massive loans to struggling, poorly-managed airlines in the other.
