I'm listening to BBC World News Tonight, or as Sullivan likes to call it, "Baathist Broadcasting Company". They reported "Attacks continued today in Baghdad. President Bush blamed these attacks on Ba'athists on those he called 'terrorists'". One of these so-called "terrorists" just rammed an ambulance full of explosives into the Baghdad headquarters of the International Red Cross. But the BBC wouldn't like to jump to any conclusions about whether he was really a terrorist or not, particularly if it might force them to agree with Bush on something. Then they did a reprise of the career of Malaysian PM Mahathir, who is retiring. Rather admiring, concentrating on the improved Malaysian economy, free of any judgmental words concerning "the ways he has benefited the Malay people with preferences" or "Islamicized the country". Here I thought that the BBC didn't approve of racial discrimination and the mixing of church and state? Oh silly me, they only disapprove of it when "Western" (read: white) people do it. Of course, Mahathir's long-standing virulent anti-Semitism didn't rate a mention.
