If he makes an ass of himself - a lively possibility - he is likely to find that popularity is a fickle thing. He has just about enough time to translate the current anger at Democrats into anger at Republicans.


I doubt this - Gov. Schwarzenegger impresses me as a natural politician, a career quite similar to acting, after all. He may not be able to get anything done, but he will channel popular anger towards the Democratic legislature, an easy task.
