"The presence of fairies and their effects can be evaluated according to fairy doctrine and the result is to discount them as anything but fanciful fiction."

Many people do (unless they choose to be agnostic). But a minor mythical Being is far more likely than an unlimited mythical being. As I said:

Therefore, there is far better reason to be agnostic about fairies (who are common-place in old sightings and records, and who may have been aliens or anything at all), than there is to be agnostic about a creature conjectured with infinite powers whose existence would contradict ALL the laws of existence as we know them. This is the most incredible belief we can imagine and thus the most unlikely--and thus the least deserving of agnosticism from a rational perspective

"However, the forces of good and evil, that are not under our command are hard to dismiss altogether by someone considering the presence of God."

There is no "force" of good or evil that science is aware of. This idea was popularized by Zoroaster who believed in one God (Ahura Mazda) with two emanating spirits (good and evil). People were pure at birth and chose which force they would cooperate with day to day. His beliefs were based on "visions" and have never enjoyed a factual basis.

In nature we see cruelty which would suggest a malevolent creator if one did choose to believe in the supernatural and to infer His character.
