Yogi:

Not long after starting this thread I opened up a Datek account and was quite impressed with their service. As you can problably tell from my lack of post here, I am now using Datek almost exclusively. I still maintain my etrade account for BB stocks. My advice is that if you dont trade BB stocks or options then Datek is the way to go, especially if you are a daytrader like myself. My greatest concern as a trader with etrade was their delay in comfirmations. As you can imagine not knowing whether you own a stock or not can be deadly for someone who gets in and out of stocks as quickly as I do. Datek gives almost immediate confirmations. No, Datek site is not as fancy as Etrades and does not offer the research, but for the most part you can find all this information at other free sites. To top it off Datek is cheaper. You might also be interested in another broker that Ive started looking at..They can be found at: webstreetsecurities.com

Hope this helps.
