The reason Xoma lost value was because the stock was inflated to begin with. Once the Raptiva news was announced the smart money departed knowing full well that this company aint worth no half-a-billion dollars.

No way, no how, no sir.

Don't blame the shorts on this one. Blame the irrationally exuberant investors who couldn't resist jumping on the Raptiva bandwagon without checking out it out more thoroughly.

I cashed in my short position. Made close to a buck a share. My mistake was not shorting at $10.
