Don, it's my impression that tax-law changes over the years have made real estate investment properties less attractive in general, than they used to be.

This isn't a big issue in my area of the world, anymore, though, because all real estate has gotten so expensive and scarce that an investor can't just go out and strike up a good deal on a property that has been mysteriously overlooked by bigger fish, such as builders.

What type of properties in your area do you regard as having investment potential?
