Joel,
>take to mean that you are selling calls and if the stock remains flat or falls you keep it but offset some of the drop in price by the sale, correct?

Yes, most of the times. I try to pick "the juiciest" calls, ones that are at the money or very close. Sometimes I go two to four months out. If the stock price drops, I buy the calls back and sell a new round.
In other times I've bought and sold puts, sometimes reducing the cost basis, and sometimes increasing but feeling safer <g>.

Overall, I realized that I don't feel comfortable with "buy and hold indefinitely and sit on your hands doing nothing" strategy for any stock, especially gorillas, because my expectations for them are relatively high.
