Were I President, there is NO WAY I would have gone into Iraq. Ain't it fun sticking your head into a Middle Eastern meatgrinder? One that's been operating for thousands of years?

The evidence to support the charges made was quite sketchy even at the time they were made and has now disappeared entirely. There were no WMD. Iraq was not involved in 911. (Which is not to say they didn't support terrorists- -they did. Against Israel. But one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.)

But we're there now.

continues as unnecessary?
What do you suggest? We simply pull out? Then what happens? Want to go back in in 5 years?

societal-wrecking aftermath
Whose society? Certainly not ours. If we can survive Vietnam, this will be a piece of cake.

And if it does wreck this society it will be YOUR fault. Not George bush's.
