You really believe that? Even someone fighting a California fire would take time out from fighting it in order to say "far out" as a response were they to learn what you just wrote. Though the phrase "far out" was coined in California, your words indeed give it new meaning. Indeed, your comment was way, way far out of the boundaries of normal understanding.
