It's easy, you go to another state where your cousin has a federal license (which are passed out easier than candy on halloween). Buy a truckload of guns, wait 30 days for the purchase records to be destroyed, and then sell them as a private individual in the "one gun" state.

A private individual who buys thousands of guns from an FFL in a non-one handgun a month state is going to get questioned by the ATF for sure. Anybody that buys more than one gun at a time or more than 1 gun a week gets put on a special ATF watch list.

The final seller as a private individual is dealing without a federal firearms license and if he is selling through the newspaper, over the internet, or at guns shows he will be caught. FFLs cost $500 and there is an extensive background check with it also. That means if you are a felon, drug addict, drunk, domestic abuser, renouncer of citizenship, have a dishonerable military discharge...you can't get one.

Check the Uniform Crime Statistics of 1860 Colt Revolvers (replicas)/converted being used in armed robberies. Zero. for revolvers I think the cylinder is the controlled part.
