JF, one only needs to look at what the Democrats have done to California to see that they aren't fiscal conservatives, either. And Bill Clinton, the man you credit for "balancing the federal budget," was here in this state several times supporting the status quo, e.g. huge deficits.

Meanwhile, you're focused on Iraq because it's an easy target. Even if we cut all funding and pulled out now, we'd only reduce the deficit by about 20%. Like it or not, we're going to have to cut a lot of social spending. Either that, or raise taxes, but that's not being very fiscally conservative.
