Mooney Airplane Company Has Record Number of Visitors At AOPA Convention in Philadelphia and More Than 60 Million MASG Shares Trade in Last Two Days

KERRVILLE, Texas, Oct 31, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Company, wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG), announced today that a record crowd had visited its booth at the annual AOPA meeting at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

More than 6,000 visitors attended the AOPA meeting yesterday. According to Nicolas Chabbert, Mooney Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales: "This is the biggest turnout we have had at AOPA for years. The amount of interest in our airplanes is the highest it has been for years. We have a great booth at the show, and we have already gone through more boxes of t-shirts in the first two days than I expected to give away during the whole show. There is a constant heavy flow of visitors through our booth all day long."

Terry Freeman, Director of Public and Investor Relations, reported: "This has been a record week for volume in Mooney's stock. More that 60 million shares traded Wednesday and Thursday. I think this is an indication that the investment community is starting to take an interest in the company. We have received a lot of calls from investors and stockbrokers seeking more information about us, and I welcome the chance to tell the Mooney story to them. A lot of the people coming to our booth at AOPA have asked about our stock as well as our airplanes."

"Many pilots have inquired about Mooney's new initiatives for customer service, particularly our emphasis on improving parts deliveries and providing overhauls and maintenance services from our plant in Kerrville, Texas," reports Todd Bates, Mooney's Director of Customer Service. "We are letting people know that I am the new kid on the block, and I am making sure each Mooney owner is well taken care of. The AOPA convention has been a great way to introduce pilots to our new concern for customer satisfaction."

J. Nelson Happy, Mooney's President, said: "AOPA is a great convention, and I hope pilots, aviation enthusiasts and investors will visit us today and tomorrow in Philadelphia. This has been a great week for Mooney. Last weekend we had a terrific turnout at the MAPA convention at Kerrville, where more that 424 Mooney owners flew in, and over 750 "Mooniacs" attended our barbeque, and now the tremendous interest in our planes at the AOPA convention tells me that the outlook for general aviation in general, and Mooney in particular, is improving for next year."

Mr. Chabbert commented: "Many pilots visiting us at the convention have told me that they know that Mooney is back as a company, and they are interested in all of the new developments that we introduced to our aircraft this year. We are sold out this month, and I think the rest of the year should be very strong for sales. I think we are really gaining sales momentum, and I attribute this to both our wonderful high performance airplane and to the tax incentives now available to buyers of new Mooneys."

(The AOPA convention at the Philadelphia Convention Center is open through November 1, 2003.)
