This is not the time for naive, cutesy solutions like "get out" "get back" - basically does what many accuse the Bush administration of doing.

The problem with earlier Middle East solutions is that Israel wants to preserve the Palestinian people as a source of cheap labor. Instead they should be encouraged to set up their own infrastructure with Jordan as primary trading partner and build a state as if Israel were not there. Maybe later they can get touchy-feely. It worked in the Sinai.
