Global Thermoelectric Shareholders Approve Combination With FuelCell Energy

CALGARY, Oct. 31 /CNW/ - At a special meeting today common shareholders of Global Thermoelectric Inc. ("Global" or the "Company") approved a special resolution authorizing the combination with FuelCell Energy, Inc. ("FuelCell") under Section 193 of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta).
FuelCell shareholders also approved the proposed combination today at a similar meeting. A fairness hearing with respect to Global's plan of arrangement is to be held this afternoon and the proposed combination is expected to close on Monday, November 3, 2003.
