The growth rate numbers include war costs and debt spending. So they are not as good as they look. It's all on the national credit card. That said, if this spending creates millions of jobs it's worth it, though Iraq is another matter. Is Iraq worth it? Not yet. If Bush doesn't create millions of jobs by next year, he's failed. All those tax cuts to the rich for nothing. Will trickle-down work for once? Unlikely in my opinion, but we'll see. At least the stock market is doing well. Though they say it's way overdue for a large correction. Another bubble a la 1998? And what about real estate prices?
