One of the few "benefiting at the expense of the many"?

Maybe, maybe not. The people I know, for the most part are making more money now than in 2000 in salary. But we are much worse off in terms of net worth and opportunity.

There are some people doing better now than in the 90s, these are CEOs of oldline smokestack industries- John Snow's former haunt, places like that, and people that care about dividends and diversification. People that really want to build something or be entrepreneurial are much worse off now under Bush. Personally, I think Bush and his buddies resent entrepreneurs and are jealous of the wealth they create. They tried to swing the hammer the other direction with economic policy in Bush's term, with favoritism towards smokestack non growing industries. Notice Bush protects the steel industry but is all to willing to dump technology offshore.
