Sorry dude. VIOXX ain't addictive. It's a non-steroidal
anti-inflamatory drug. It just seems that folks are
having a noticeable number of acute myocardial infarctions
taking VIOXX; clearly an unwanted side effect. A few other
noteworthy unwanted side effects are Upper Respiratory
Infection - Hypertension - Diarrhea - Nausea - Back Pain -
Headache.

What Rush was taking was addictive & regardless of
personality type. Anyone who takes addictive drugs long
enough becomes physically addicted. And trust me, chronic
pain is debilitating to every aspect of your life. I don't
doubt for a second that if I found something that relieved
the pain, I would not want to quit taking it. And I have
long held the view that drugs should be used only if there
are no other reasonable alternatives, or at least as a
supplement to other remedies. You'd be surprised at the
long term effects of taking certain prescription
medications that only mask the symptoms of what you are
currently suffering from.

FWIW, chronic pain is like being constantly tortured,
except no one can see it happening.
