I agree about Lieberman, after the Bush nightmare I think we all want some doves. What is extreme about Gephardt?

When you look into Dean, you will like what you see. He is miscast as an extreme lib which he is not. He is pro-business and a deficit hawk too. Not a tax cutter, but after these Bush tax cut giveaways I don't think most people want to hear about how great tax cuts are at least for the near future. Dean wants to repeal the Bush tax cuts, I agree with that.

Gephardt gained heavily after the debates when he overtly called Bush a complete failure. That sound byte was what people wanted to hear.

I believe a dem will be elected, but we have a huge number of republican incumbents in the house and senate now. Many of them will be out in 04 but still they will be a mitigating force against a too-liberal president.
