If the theory was valid, the same would hold true of the market. You know, invest in a broad portfolio of stocks, sell the losers and keep the winners. This too will lead to a portfolio of Gorillas.

I disagree for a variety of reasons, the two most salient being that instead of starting with a market that grows as fast as the market, you start with a market with a good chance of being ultra-high-growth and that not all stocks that outperform the market are gorillas.
