Your contention was that these people working for peace in the ME should be considered irrelevant because they are C-U-R-R-E-N-T-L-Y not holding an official office.My contention was that many people not holding a current elected office should be considered on par since no one voted for them either. Now you are itching to shoot back that since they are appointed by an elected official,that gives them absolute legitimacy to do what they consider is in their best interest.But that's where it breaks down, doesn't it. How can you guarantee that those people I named are indeed doing what is in the American people's interest?One would have to believe that the president knows exactly what they are doing all of the time and controls their every move in order to sanctify their agendas. But yet, how many times has it surfaced that the President did NOT..or at least appeared to not.... know what they were doing, or at times had to step in to stop the infighting between them, not to mention calling Rummie on the carpet for his shortsightedness and buffoonery. Bottom line? You just don't like the Geneva concept because the currently elected warmonger Sharon didn't have the ballz or the brains to come up with it.You feel Israel, and by proxy, the USA,should follow Sharon into the abyss , right or wrong...damn the torpedos..there's no one to talk to....they are all terrorists...bla bla bla. Sorry Nadine. Watch the response to this concept once/if it gets fair airplay. I like it. It's doable. KC
