What Gov. Dean has said, i.e. that gun control ought to be controlled state-by-state, seems to be the most sensible and non-controversial thing I've heard from any of the Democratic candidates.

Surely this is vastly more sensible than George Bush's blanket authorization to gun profiteers to sell anything to anyone no matter what the consequences for society.

The one item where I think Dean may be a tad foolish is in not actively seeking the endorsement of the NRA. Surely not every gun owner in America is in love with an out of control wreck of an Administration like the criminal conspiracy called the Bush White House.
