I was up early this morning, as I usually am, around 4:15 am, to do some paperwork... yesterday was a very exciting day so I thought I would play some virtual pool at the Yahoo game room... when you're playing virtual pool with someone, you usually talk some about where you are... I could be playing with someone in London or in the Philipines... this time the fellow said he was in Iraq... he's been there 8 months, he has four months to go, he's airborne special ops in Kirkut, about 3 hours north of Baghdad... we talked about the war, the Western press, home, his wife, the Marlins, golf... I told him how proud all of us are of his very hard and dangerous work... he gets shot at several times a week, he said he can't wait to get home... we talked and played pool for about 2 1/2 hours, it was a treat for me, I told him I was glad to see he has some rec time... he emails his wife every day... I just wanted to share this great experience with everyone...
