The huge entitlements (SS and Medicare) have NOT been ADEQUATELY PAID FOR by the current recipients when they were younger workers. Some "insurance policy"! It was a fraudulent scheme to buy votes. Actuarially unsound promises of benefits were made, and the taxes were too low to support them. Now, today's younger workers are paying extremely high taxes to try to cover up the effects of the fraud. In the long-run, even this will be insufficient, and (effectively) today's younger workers are being ripped off. Warren Buffet, the hero of the left, is in the insurance business. Do you think he would run an "insurance company" in such a disgraceful manner?
