Dean appears to be the uncontested front runner among one segment of the New Hampshire electorate...... blog2.deanforamerica.com Dean Wins Straw Poll Among SEIU Local 1984 Members in New Hampshire Demonstrating Howard Dean's increasing support among union members, Dean overwhelmingly won a straw poll conducted at the annual state convention of the Service Employees International Union (New Hampshire) Local 1984. The convention was held in Concord today. Dean received an incredible 65 of the 119 votes cast, placing him far in the lead of Dick Gephardt, who received 20 votes. George W. Bush received more votes than John Kerry (9 and 7, respectively), and the remaining votes went to Edwards (5), Clark (4), Lieberman (2), Kucinich (1), Sharpton (1) and Undecided (2).
