Is anyone else surprised that the SEC investigations into mutual fund timing by insiders, after hours trading in funds, and the NYSE specialists do not as yet seem to have had an adverse effect on the financial markets? I would have thought that the deepening probes into profiteering by insiders might have caused some fairly sharp sell-offs as a disgruntled public votes with their feet.
