One, financial shenanigans by mutual fund companies - traders of the company's stocks, is likely not perceived to have any implications on the fundamentals of the companies themselves. Two, investors have become de-sensitized to these stories after the last couple years. Three, all the upbeat economic news has far outweighed this stuff.
