You mean tomorrow we stop sending out SS checks to seniors?

And the next day we stop collecting SS tax? That would create an almost unimaginable amount of chaos.

What is your plan for ending SS? How would we be able to take care of all the seniors? These are the people whose labor built this country. Are they to be thrown on the ash heap?

How does a working guy make it in this country? The good jobs are now beginning to go overseas. Family wage jobs are getting rare in this country. Unions have been decimated. This has benefited huge corporations, as they can now pay less wages. In gratitude for that, under the free trade system, they now can even take a bigger cut at wages by sending your job overseas.

Now that they have reduced their overhead by getting the cheapest labor, they move their corporate headquarters overseas as well. They are now a foreign multinational company, and they only operate shell corporations in the US that make "no money" and pay little or no taxes.

Shareholders are happy, as their stock in corporations goes up, and tax free dividends continue to increase. Rich people like this system very much. The republican party plays to these interests, enriching them.

Unfortunately the community of people in the US is paying the price for these corporate robbers who have failed to see that a consumer economy with out consumers will ultimately lead to the demise of their businesses and our country.
