Yes, I'd agree with you, when Jordan (or any Muslim nation, or Spain in 1492) expelled their Jews, this is racism. Or, even if they don't officially expel them, if they make life so difficult for them, they all leave, it amounts to the same thing. If conversion between religions is rare, discrimination based on race or religion is essentially the same thing. Even though they are both of the semitic race (more or less, at least originally), it's still racism.
And I'd also agree, that the Sharia laws on marriage and family, are for the purpose of keeping separate and pure, the superior religion, just as the apartheid rules were for the purpose of keeping separate and pure the superior race.
