Actually, that's a very good point. I'm sure he didn't consider himself an addict. So I'll give the "hypocrisy" accusation a rest. At least until I see how he behaves post-rehab.

I still think he's a pompous ass, and wrong about most things. The fact that a lot of conservatives agree with him doesn't prove anything.

PS: You'll note that I conceded the validity of a point you had made. This is something I seldom hear conservatives do; conceding that their political opponents might be right once in a while. I think it has to do with having an absolutist mentality.

Neither the Repulicans nor the Democrats, conservatives, libertarians or liberals have a have a lock on the truth.
