I only look at P/S, P/B, insurance valuations (I focus on insurance & banking stocks), dividend yields, stock buybacks, etc. I really try and focus on the basics. It's my one saving grace.

It's tough to beat the market when everything is inflated, from penny stocks, to money losing biotechs, to commodities. The Fed has been liberal in printing money and thus this is the result -- along with dropping interest rates.
