You write with the assurance of an expert but with the knowledge of the uninformed. The product is Printrak. It is one of the founding group of technologies in the biometric ID business. Printrak also licences its ID and search engines to integrators. Outside of Mytec, there are only a couple of underlying finger ID technologies, Printrak and Cognos being 2 that come to mind.
Getting new business is not only a function of superior technology but mostly a function of "existing, strong relationships with potential clients", "feet on the street selling the product to potential clients", exposure and lastly references.
Mytec has few if any of the above. It's potential alliance with Compaq may solve one of these issues but it must have a strategic alliance with a respected integrator to become successful.
The best thing you could do for Mytec is stop disseminating garbage information.
