Regrettably penni, the "poppy bubble thingies" do not work with baked chicken either. Unfortunately, when baked with chicken, the air in the poppy bubble thingies has a tendency to expand and thus the thingies normally pop in the oven like an AK47 on automatic, leaving your guests with no chance to enjoy this unusual mastication sensation and creating one hell of a testimonial to the powers of Easy Off Industrial Strength Oven Cleaner. Even worse, once reaching a temperature of about 275 degrees, the constituent polymers of the bubble thingies will normally melt, producing a translucent glaze over said gallus gallus which, while attractive in its own way, is certainly extremely toxic and should not be hazarded.
