Maybe in a few years the next military action we have , Iraq troops may support us..

I think that's the goal.. To create a stabilizing force within the region, similar to the (flawed) attempt to make the Shah such a power. And if anything to show that these Islamic militants consider not just Jews, but anyone who opposes them, as enemies of the "true faith".

And if the US can use it's persuasion to create a revolt amongst the youth of Iran, we'll see major powers being able to exert tremendous (and hopefully positive) influence over the region.
