Ten,

re: If only we didn't have to defend our freedoms, or our nation, or our allies, or take out any threats to world peace.

Pardon my bold in the above, but "we" is the operative word. We have plenty of military to defend ourselves. If you want to "take out any threats to world peace", believe me, there is no big enough military. Why do you think it's our responsibility? Iraq posed no threat, what are we doing there?

A rhetorical question: What if there was a serious threat to the US right now. Do you think we could handle that, and Iraq at the same time?

And you didn't answer any of my questions. How do you balance security and freedom, where is your fine line?

John
